49 Years of Radio from WDEB and counting.

A note from our Owner and General Manager

Since the first broadcast, WDEB has been a station dedicated to God, community & Country. Nearly a half-century has passed and that has not changed and will not change. By providing up-to-date and accurate weather coverage, news, and other community information, we have become and continue to hold the place as the most listened to a radio station in Fentress County.

We do radio the “Old Fashioned Way;” a person-operated hometown radio station. What does that mean? It means that our community listens to know the latest news in the Upper Cumberland and to spend time with familiar friends, also known as our on-air team. In fact, our community has grown with Country John B sharing with them every morning over breakfast, or on their way to school and then sharing his love for Bluegrass on the weekends. Gary Clark has shared with the community nearly every win and loss of our sports teams. And Al Snyder has entertained us with great stories and of the best of Classic Country music in the world.

We are generally a country music station, and yes, I know I just said Bluegrass… if you were loading the CD player, wouldn’t you play a few of your favorites? We try to fit in a mix of what our community loves. We believe that is part of what keeps them listening to us all day, and not just at certain times.

Sincerely,

Kevin Baz, Owner/GM
