Daphney Phillips

Funeral Services for Daphney Phillips, age 86, of Monterey, Tennessee, will be conducted on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home.

Chris Phipps, Rev. Kevin Phillips, and Rev. Raymond Phillips will officiate with interment to follow in the Welch Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Phillips was born on Friday, January 21, 1938, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, to the late Harry Greene Douglas and Nora Belle Jefferies Douglas.

Mrs. Phillips passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, at her home. Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker. She was a member of the Columbia Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Randy (Lori) Phillips of Nashville, TN, Kathy (Jim Ray) Buckner of Monterey, TN, Diane (Greg) Jackson of Monterey, TN, Sandy (Chris) Phipps of Monterey, TN, Rev. Raymond (Angie) Phillips of Allardt, TN, Rev. Kevin (Polly) Phillips of Monterey, TN; 14 grandchildren, Jason (Meshae) Phillips, Justin Phillips, Lacie (Browdy) Fain, Matt (Robyn) Buckner, Jon (Heather) Buckner, Tammy (Rob) Clarke, Shelley (TC) Roberson, Amber (Chris) Arnett, Ashley Frizzell, Christopher Phipps, Christie (Josh) Phillips, Peyton (Kelsea) Phillips, Jacob (Kayla) Phillips, and Jessica Phillips; 27 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Thelma and Ed Carson Buckner of Monterey, TN, Shirley and Bill Whittaker of Monterey, TN, Nancy and Richard Turner of Anderson, IN, and Jacqueline Douglas of Bowling Green, KY.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Alfred M Phillips; 5 brothers; 6 sisters; great great grandson, Wyatt Roberson; and special friend, Everett Phillips.

The family will receive friends at Goff Funeral Home on Monday, February 12, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
